Heidi Maccanti

Heidi is both a Singapore and Australian Registered Physiotherapist who has lived in Singapore for nearly 10 years with her family.

Heidi has had more than 20 years experience working as a physiotherapist and has worked in Singapore for over 9 years.

Heidi has had extensive experience treating neurological disorders in her time as a physiotherapist. She can treat a range of neurological problems such as stroke, MS, MND, post spinal cord injury post spinal and brain surgery, muscular dystrophy and many peripheral neural problems. Heidi has also had extensive training in treating vestibular disorders and patients who present with vertigo and dizziness.

As well as neurological patients, Heidi has worked the last years in pediatric physiotherapy. Heidi will see children from as young as 2 months to 16 years for a range of developmental, neurological or orthopedic reasons.  Heidi has worked in acute and community settings in both of these areas and has also has completed her Masters in Physiotherapy by research and published 3 papers in rehabilitation journals relating to neurological physiotherapy.

Heidi has been an avid sports woman in the past competing at a high level in both athletics and netball, and continues to be a very keen runner. Heidi has worked with adult and children’s sporting teams in the past in the fields of netball, hockey, rugby and football, both nationally and internationally.

Heidi continually strives to achieve the best for her patients, using an evidence-based and goal – centered approach to her treatments, always focusing on the goals of the patient.
